1: The certain type of problem that the world is facing with electricity that I have decided to talk about today is the fact that using certain types of electricity can cause a major problem that affects our world everyday. This problem being greenhouse gas emissions. This category is essentially any gas that is harmful towards the environment such as, coal, natural gases and diesel. This has to do with electricity because of the fact that because the fuel that you burn these types of fuels to get electricity. The problem with this however is that by burning these fuels in order to accomplish gaining electricity, you are also putting these harmful chemicals out into our atmosphere. And this a major global issue that we face everyday in our world that could eventually spawn the end of humanity as we know it. These gases being let into our air does certain things around us and are direct causes for other problems as well such as, global warming, and climate change. They work our atmosphere this way because of the fact that the gas is hot and when it is in our atmosphere for too long of a period with no end in sight, it can only cease to make our world hotter. Which also makes us see some pretty odd things that we dont usually see in life. such as, some places that are notoriously cold becoming hotter then usual etc…
2: This problem has been addressed by the whole world in many very different ways. Some seem to be ignorant on the fact that there is problems such as climate change that stemmed from greenhouse gases. Meanwhile we have other people thinking that this problem very very important and it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible and in order to do that they think that they need to protest their feelings to the government so that we can end up making changes. Things like these have given us people like Greta Thunberg, who is basically a 17 year old climate change protester that got into the whole thing by feeling scared about the facts when she thought nobody else treated it with the same amount of magnitude that she was treating it with. So after a few publicity stunts she rised up in popularity until now we have more people talking about this issue and getting a move on it. Since she is trying to make it clear to us that this issue could easily mean our lives if we don’t keep vigilant and try to fix it as a world wide group. Again, this whole global warming issue is only a problem because of the fact that we are using greenhouse gases to get our electricity. Meanwhile getting those gases up in the air and polluting our world.
3: There are certain ways to stop emitting so many greenhouse gases into the air so that this world issues do not become worse and threaten our ways of life further. There are simple ways in order to be able to do things like this, such as being a good citation and not doing anything to contaminate our air more then it needs to be. We can do things like, recycle, put our garbage in the correct bins and dispose of things in a good way even if that makes it a longer process to get rid of the certain item. Plant more things into the forest so that it hydrates the air and doesn’t allow for greenhouse gases. And substitutions of items that would usually have gases. Such as electric cars. And also making our lives more simple so that we don’t need to burn as many gases. Even if it means having less things that we think are important in today’s society, because if that saves our world we have to be able to make the sacrifice.
4: My solution was to do what I said in list number 3. Where we limit the use of things use like cars, and use an alternative thing like electric cars that don’t emit fossil fuels into the atmosphere. And to do things like recycle properly, and plant more into the forest so that it trumps the overuse of the gases that are in our air. Doing these things and working unitedly in the world could actually turn the tables on things such as climate change and save our world from the danger that could come from it.
5: The process that I went through to get to this conclusion was in a way that was actually pretty easy. I just did some research about the topic and discovered some things like why greenhouse gases are so harmful and things like that. Then I researched about somethings that people have done to try and reverse climate change. And once I gathered all this information I learned how to fix climate change in ways other people have already came up with. The thing is with climate change, is that the answer is simple to solve it for more normal civilians. All they have to do is make better choices and save the earth that way. By recycling properly and not littering, things like that. Also for larger corporations to stop doing things that are making our lives worse just for an extra buck. It wasnt too hard to come to these conclusions after the facts that I read up on.
