Bloom Syndrome

Im a gene, I am part of a cell. I was given instructions by the BLM gene to become part of the RecQ helicases.

Helicases attach to DNA and split into a double helix of the DNA molecule.

The chromosomes copy to each new cell. Each chromosome comes from each parent.

These chromosomes become sister chromatids, they are exactly identical to each other.

Sister chromatids sometimes exchange small parts of DNA. The protein from the BLM prevents them from exchanging.

The effects that happened on my host is that the sensitivity of the UV light affects that leave burns on their face

and its kind of looks like there burn by the fire.

1, what question did you need to research in order to create in your mutation story?

My question is how is this syndrome works?

2, What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?

I’m not sure cause I just made my story and add some.

3, What was the process you used to investigate the topic?

I searched  “What is bloom syndrome?” and I used the site that Mr. Robinson gave to us to help us

to this project.

4, How did you verify and cite the information you found?

5, How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better/

Its really hard for me cause its my first time to do like this story.

Currents from the Kitchen

image

The carrots made the highest current we did it did forward to 2.5 and didn’t turn the bulbs on.

The kiwi and the orange went back into 1  and didn’t turn the bulbs on the potato went forward into 1 and didn’t turn the bulb on too.

Observation

We tried to connect all the fruits and the wire to get a lot of power to make the bulb light but it didn’t turn on.

We tried each of the fruit to make the bulbs light but it don’t turn light on.

We are not sure if the bulbs acctually work on their own.

Measuring Current

Material:

1.5 V cell                                 Connecting wires

Various bulbs                         Ammeter

What did u find out?

1.  Which circuit had the largest current?

The largest circuit current is the big bulb that has 190 mA.

2. Which circuit has the smallest current?

The largest circuit current is the weird shaped that we called that has 48 ma.

3. What is the purpose of the switch in this circuit?

The purpose of the switch is to turn of or turn on the current to make the bulb lights.
