There are a couple that is in different packaging.
Pretty much all the packaging for the food have is plastic.
The reason most of them are in plastic is that plastic preserves food freshness. also plastic lasts a long time so I guess the food inside will last for aa good amount.
plastic is good to keep the food fresh and last longer. but is not good for the environment at all because a lot of people are not responsible and do not throw their garbage away so it gets into the ocean and kills animals. plastic has a lot of chemicals that some people fear that when your food is packaged into the plastic it will contain some of the harmful chemicals which could impact you in a bad way. also plastic is bad for the consumers because of pollution and it is just so hard to get rid of.
What smart people do after they ate the food inside of the plastic packaging is they will throw it away. but for some reason, people are not responsible and just throw it away in the public on the ground or where ever that can hold the plastic which is pretty much “throwing garbage away in the open” this is not good because for this very exact reason we have too much plastic in the ocean and it does not help anyone at all.
In one day whatever is left in the packaging animals will eat. After 1 year it will be in a dump or in a factory with the idea of how they will get rid of the waste. After 100 years some of the waste will decompose, it really depends on the plastic.
The food waste will be turned into food for other animals or it will get to factories which turn food waste into soil/ dirt.
