The Friday that changed everything

 

  • The boys are upset because they think it should only be them to hold the water bucket not the girls
  • They told the girls that they would beat them up and they took over the softball field. The girls reacted started to express their feelings even more and no body laughed at them.
  • The person that is telling the story Is a female in Ms. Ralston’s class, \she thought that she was going say something about the situation. The story is told from a fist person angle.
  • It takes place in a school and a rural area, they have carried a water bucket around and it’s a old school.
  • The girl talking who asked the question in the story about the water bucket, the story focuses on her and how she asked why girls can’t carry the water bucket. Once she asked that the story made a huge change and focused on her and her question.
  • What changed was that the boys realized that girls can do the same as boys in sports and other things. The theme was gender equality. The significance was that she proved that girls can do as good as boys in the same things. The message was girls and boys can do the same in each activity – Gender equality
