* Synthesis Essays:
A few reminders:
- Make sure you give your essay its own title…
- Do you have a hook
- Did you introduce your titles/authors?
- Do you have a strong thesis statement
- Do you have 5 paragraphs: intro, 3 bodies, and a conclusion
- Does each body have a topic sentence?
- Do your body paragraphs discuss your resources –giving a point, giving evidence (quote), stating significance –and then citing your quote?
- Do you have a conclusion? This should restate your thesis but now state how you have proven your thesis….
- Are you using transitional expressions?
- Are you using third person voice?
