Morning Class (A-L)

Reminders:  Poetry Test is on Monday May 31st (A-L) and on Tuesday June 1st (M-Z)*What to expect on the Poetry Test:

Part A –poetic devices and matching

Part B: poetic devices multiple choice

Part C: Short Answers on the poems we read in class
Part D: Iampic/trochaic –and number of feet
Part E: two sight poems you have never read before with multiple choice questions
Part F: sight poem with a paragraph. The test is out of 50…. I hope this helps !

*Synthesis Essays:  some of you are LATE.  You need to upload these to TEAMS Asap.

*Literature Circle Discussions:  You will be meeting with your groups in person and on Teams

*Novel Background Information Infograph:  You have time to work on this assignment…and to meet up with your partner(s) if you are working with a team.

*Silent Reading:  20 minutes to read your new book!

*Literature Circles: We are starting our Literature Circles.  The reading schedule planning sheet is below.  each week we will be having two discussion.  As a class, we will have to determine what days your groups will be meeting.  In order to do this, we need to establish our novel groups first.  The role sheets are also below.  You will be rotating through roles so that each time your group meets, you will have a different role.

You will be creating a Chart on Office 365….and in groups (of three hopefully!) you will be analyzing the following poems.  What will your path be?  my hope is that you not only analyze these poems, but also discuss their meaning…you will need the analyzing poetry sheet
