Good Afternoon!

*Reminders:  you will be having a quiz on short story terms…

Last week, we read the short story “Sam the Athlete”.  We then did a short story summary as well as a Yes/No chart for this story. I also asked you to complete a paragraph outline for a persuasive story on this paragraph for Monday.  Yesterday at home, you were to work on transforming your outline into a rough draft…

Additional items to think about before you start to write…did we get a chance to read through these yesterday?

For my A-Z online learners:

  1.  Please continue to work on your paragraph draft on “Sam The Athlete”.  I would like you to work on transforming your outline and making it a rough draft.  Your draft should be complete by Wednesday Sept. 23rd.
  2. Please complete the short story graphic organizer (above) for the short story “Harrison Bergeron”.  Remember, you can work with a partner…
  3. *Please complete a Venn Diagram comparing the short story “Harrison Bergeron” to the movie 2081. You can use the document below, complete it on paper, or create columns in a word document for example.

Other things to think about:

a) Review your short story terms for a quiz

b) Wednesday write draft  should be completed and uploaded by Tuesday night…

c)  If you did not finish last weeks No Red Ink, you should do so…
