*Head’s Up: Last Day for late assignments is on Friday January 11th.

*We are going to start going through some exam prep for the provincial exam.

*Sorry C Block…I know I missed yesterday with a specialist appointment for my son…but I got an emergency phone call during Block B so had to leave in a rush.  

We will go through the below on Friday.

For Today:

Click on the Link below…I was going to show you the e-exam version but for today, please work on the “paper version.”  I would like you to start on the “Stand Alone” and Synthesis component of this exam.  Because it is on paper, you may have to split your screen and write your responses on a word doc.  Sorry about this..I had to leave in a rush!

*Yesterday, we started a class activity…writing a ‘One Act Play’.  You have time to work on your script and act out your ‘play’.  You will have a short amount of time to finish writing your group script if you have not yet done so.  We will then see each group perform their One Act Play

What Makes a good play?  Brainstorm

*Whoosh, Bing Ooga:  Warm up activity

*You will be creating “One Act Play”.

-The purpose of this activity is to create an understanding and appreciation by the students of good dramatic literature, play production, and to instruct students in acting.
-Things that students will have to think about: Characterization, Physicality, Voice, Ensemble, Timing, Staging, and Overall Effectiveness.
You will draw names and be placed into groups of four.  In your group, you will be create a “One Act Play”.  You must come up with
a) a topic for your play
b) a script
c) rehearse and ‘act’ your play out
d) have fun!
