The Personal poem

Missing Our Home Town   By Mike

We are grown up,

So we should leave our home town,

We miss our warm bed,

We can’t stay until our youth is dead.

When we leave for a new strange place,

We feel we are very shy,

So we would tell the lie.

We aren’t scared of this new place,

After we finish our work from the other place,

We come back home.

Everything from home becomes good,

And we open our eyes to look.

The new friends don’t know me either,

The old friends don’t know me neither.

We may feel upset about that,

But it doesn’t make any sense.

Whatever people do, they leave it one day,

But we should know that is home town, and it is easy to look at,

And make the home town hardly a memory like a book.

Poem Analysis

This poem name is Missing Our Home Town. This is a lyric poem, why it is a lyric poem, because is a brief, personal poem, and is filled with emotion. My inspiration was I am missing home a lot, and I am not going home for a long time.  Thetheme is being sad, but I need to encourage my self. The rhyme scheme is abcc, abbc , abcdee  abcad  . The three poetic devices are rhyme, hyperbole ‘’ our youth is dead’’ and simile ‘’ home town hardly, memory like a book’’.

The lyric poem

You can’t alter      .

Never falter ,

never fail at those

every thing, or any thing , but oppose .

who have only you , ones like you

You have to

Opposite them in every thing .

no matter how many do nothing .

forger” forgive”

Live and let live

Let it be your anger

that is stronger
