Week 7 in Math 10

This week we learned about trigonometry, we learned about sine, cosine, and tangents. We learned how to find the degrees of angles and how to find the missing side on a right triangle. we learned that in a right triangle the longest side or the side that is across from the right angle is the hypotenuse, the side that is across from the reference angle is the opposite, and finally the side that is beside the reference angle is the adjacent side. Each the sine, cosine, and tangent have there own ratios. these ratios are like formulas and help you find the angle or side that you are looking for, an easy way to memorise these ratios is ”SOH CAH TOA”, because we are dealing with a right triangle the right angle is 90 degrees and the two other angles add up to be 90 degrees. depending on the degree the angle could be a small, medium, or large side, because the hypotenuse is always the longest side it would be the large side, and which ever of the twos angles that add up to 90 degrees are over 45 degrees is the medium angle which leaves the small angle being less than 45 degrees.
