This week is learnt how to add and subtract fractions with “ugly” denominators and solving them.
To start we need a common denominator, and it is usually each factor on the bottom of the fraction. Then if it is a expression we put it on the bottom and multiply the numerator by the common denominator by cancelling out the factors in common. If it were an equation, you would just multiply each fraction by the common denominator cancelling out the common denominators and then solving for the unknown value.
