Unit #1 -STREET ART – Lesson 6 – wrap-up with a Core Competency Reflection

Upload to your edublog your final image of you street art work, as well as your photo of the location where you intended the work to be put.

and write your reflection answering one of the following:

* How does your street art design demonstrate your social awareness of and responsibility for the place in your community for which the art was designed for?  What is the relationship betwee  n the artwork and the community place?  How is your street art designed to address a social situation?   (This is a “Personal and Social” Competency, specifically  social awareness and responsibility that focuses on interacting with others in respectful and caring ways)  Please check off the “PS” box in the lower left corner of the reflection form.

*Does your street art contain some of your own personal voice? Personal voice is your unique and recognizable artistic style that is distinctly your own; your inspiration, your materials, techniques, themes and colour palette working in a way that looks like it comes from you and no one else.  What are you saying in this art work?  What evidences of your personal voice is there in your street art?  (This is a “Communication” Competence, specifically addressing what message your art work “speaks” to a public audience and what art methods you use in your work to say the message that you intend to say).  Please check off the “C” box in the upper left side of the reflection form.
