Consumable Waste Project

The food I probably eat the most is Chicken Breast or some type of breast type meat. I think Chicken breast is supplied in plastic wrap and in Styrofoam to keep all the meat fresh and keep it from contaminating. The packages positive since it keeps the chicken from rotting and what not. The negative is that it can cause harm to our environment if not recycled properly. The packing itself will be fine until the meat is taken out of the wrap. The wrap and the Styrofoam begin to rot and get old as the time passes making it very dirty and rotten. The best way to keep this ecosystem clean is to clean out those packages before throwing them out so that when they are sitting in the garbage, the excess food is not rottener up and not attracting things like roaches which would make everything a lot worst. the waste after a year goes onto stay like that until the next few weeks it starts to rot and contaminate. After the year the package is fulling contaminated and is very dangerous to touch, since touching it might lead to a disease. After 100 years I believe that the package is fully dismembered and is not anymore. We can decrease waste by just recycling and having the proper education on how to manage foods after being taken out of their packaging. Knowing how to take care of the packaging after the demise of the meat would be good so you know how to throw away all of your unneeded waste.
