Three things I will do to stay safe at work.
- Know my rights.
- Understand what I am doing.
- Read labels if working with chemicals.
Two things I will do to keep others safe at work.
- When labeling, make sure I label all chemicals correctly and thoroughly.
- Make sure jobs are done correctly, safely and in order if there is an order to be followed.
Which Story sticks with you the most? Why? What can you learn from their workplace accident?
The story that stuck with me the most was Mark’s story. Although they all hit me pretty hard I think having him here and telling his story and seeing his emotions showed a lot more. I ended up crying and overall in shock at what happened to him. HIs story moved me and will always make me stop if I ever feel unsafe in a workplace. I learned that listening to your gut and not being scared to say its uncomfortable with you will make for a much easier situation then possible injuries or near death experiences.
