What’s in my junk food?

Coca-cola is a carbonated drink. Coca-cola combines refreshment with taste. I have always enjoyed Coca-cola. There is nothing better then a nice cold Coca-cola on a hot summer day. Even though Coke isn’t always the healthiest choice, I tend to drink about 3 cans a week. Drinking Coca-cola can cause serious issues for your body in the future. Drinking coke can result in cavities due to the sugar. The sugar can build up and cause plaque. Drinking coke can also lead to weight gain because of the large amount of sugar intake.

  4. Did you group work well together during the lab? Why or why not? (i.e. were there any issues that came up/how did you solve them?)
  5. If you were to do this lab again, what might you do differently? Why?

Reflection:

I chose to reflect on this lasagna Roll ups because they were the best tasting lab in my opinion. The lab was fun, easy, and tasty. I really enjoyed this lab due to the fact that it was a lot simpler then it would seem. Our product turned out very well, It stayed together and was delicious at the end. Somethings that helped was just following the directions and working as a team. Our group worked pretty well together, Morgan was a great leader during the lab and everyone got along. The only issue that came up was who was gonna get 2 lasagna rolls. If i were to do this Lab again i would add some more cheese, just because i like cheese. All around this was a good lab. 🙂

Chili Competition Reflection

Chili Competition Reflection

Group: Michael, Arther, Melia

Reflection:

I liked the chili project very much. It gave us the opportunity to experiment with different recipes. This project gave the groups the chance to really experience what its actually like to cook. Through the whole week our group worked very smoothly, we kept on task and were able to have fun doing it. Our chili tasted great through the whole journey, we made sure to taste it as we cooked. I believe our chili was really good, and I can see myself making it at home in the future. Im not sure of what the judges thought about the chili but i personally liked it. Our Chili could of been a little more pleasing to the eye though. Our plating skills were the best. Our cheese braid tasted very good, but didn’t look very nice either. The cheese braid was short and thick. All together the chili went very well and i would do it again. This was a very fun assignment!

Reflection March/April

1. Why did you choose to reflect on this lab?

I chose to reflect on this lab because in my opinion this was my favourite lab. The portions were very big, and I will never say no to more food. This dish was also very tasteful and I could see myself eating this at home. I also only had the pictures to this lab…….

2. Did you enjoy the lab? Why or why not?

I loved this lab because it was tasty. It also had large portions. I can also see myself making and eating at home.  This dish was also simpler then i thought it was going to be

3. Did your product turn out the way you had hoped? If yes, what helped? If no, why did it not?

Our groups product turned out perfectly. The noodles were perfectly cooked and chicken was tender. One thing our group did very well was cooking everything together. WE made sure to keep the ingredients moving around the pot so the tastes would blend.

4. Did you group work well together during the lab? Why or why not? (i.e. were there any issues that came up/how did you solve them?)

Our group working fairly well during the lab. Sometimes we talk to much which makes us the slowest group. But in the end we get the product we were looking for. Slow and steady wins the race.

5. If you were to do this lab again, what might you do differently? Why?

If I was going to this lab again one thing I would definitely add is more spice. I really enjoy spicy foods so I can see myself adding some more spice just to give it that extra kick. I would also add more soya sauce, i didn’t really taste the soya sauce as much as i wanted to
