DNA Model

Today, we learned about DNA. In DNA, there are 4 bases, Thymine (T), Guanine (G), Adenine (A), Cytosine (C). These bases each have pairs. A and T are pairs, and C and G are pairs.

We were given a pattern to follow. I chose sequence 1, which was T A C G T A T G A A A C. That means that the opposite would be A T G C A T A C T T T G.

Bellow is a picture of my DNA

DNA makes up who you are. It tells all your proteins what shape to form. The DNA forms in a double helix strand, and is a twist, so if you look down you can see straight through it. There is DNA in every cell except for red blood cells. I really enjoyed learning more about the DNA with these edible treats!
