How are Ballads different from Lyrical poems?
Ballad poems are different from Lyrical poems because unlike ballad, lyrical is usually not set to music and that most ballad poems are longer than lyrical poems.
Ballad poems – a type of poem that is usually set to music, usually tells readers a folktale or a legend, and has a normal rhyme scheme
Lyric poems – a type of poem that is short and usually tells the feelings of the poet and does not tell a story
Which do you like better?
I would have picked both because of their stunning rhyme schemes, but Lyrical poems are better because it is usually short and simple and gives me a clearer view of what the poem is mainly focusing on.
