Formula: 4piR^2

Summary: I first scooped out the inside contents of my half of the Orange so that I could just get the outer skin of the orange. Once I did that we ripped each half of the orange into tiny pieces so that we could evenly place them into the outline circles we did earlier.  In doing to the smaller we went the better they fit. We were able to fit the peel pieces into 4 full circles.  In doing so we were able to come to the conlcusion that the formula for the surface area of a sphere is 4piR^2.
