Math 10 – Week 4

This week, I learned about some of the practical applications of trigonometry. One of these applications is finding the height of a tree, or building for example. To do this, all you would need is your phone. First, you would look at the top of what you are measuring, and find the angle of elevation of your eyes. Then, you would measure the distance from yourself to the building or tree. From there, you would be able to use the tangent ratio to find the height of the object.
