Hello, my name is Jaime Le Roy, and welcome to my blog! I’m in the tenth grade and I go to Riverside Secondary school. I’m currently fifteen years old and will be sixteen in early March. I was born in East Vancouver on March 5th, 2005, and grew up and lived there until I was nine years old. Just before my tenth birthday, I moved to Port Coquitlam in the fourth grade. There I finished the rest of elementary school at Castle Park Elementary. When I first moved, I was terrified to go to a new school and leave the only home I’ve known behind, but with time I grew to love living in my new home and made my closet friends at Castle. Before coming to Riverside, I went to Citadel Middle school, where I joined clubs such as leadership, Team teal, the school play (in grades seven and eight), and I played basketball and volleyball all throughout my middle school years.
I also have two little dogs named Sophie and Beck. They are both parts of the Rat Terror family. We got Sophie when she was nine months old, and Beck about a year ago. My family and I enjoy taking long walks through Colony Farms every Saturday morning.
I enjoy playing two amazing sports, ice hockey and field hockey. I overall, love any sport that includes a stick and ball. I play ice hockey for the Tri-Cities Predators Females Ice Hockey Association. My hockey season is coming to an end soon and I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to my incredible team. They are the best team I could have asked for and all of them are like my family. Though hockey is coming to an end, I have field hockey to look forward to which stars up in Spring break. I play Field Hockey for the Tri-Cities Eagles and during late September last year, I joined the Riverside school team.
Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music, dancing, and musical theatre. I love to read books and other works of literature. My favorite genres are Realistic Fiction and Mystery. With my love of reading is also my deep passion for writing. I enjoy composing my own stories and writing summaries of inspiring books I’ve read at least over five times. With this said, my favorite subject in school is English. I also like to express my creativity by listening to music, while dancing wackily in my bedroom. Though I’m not a professional dancer I still enjoy busting a few moves, in my room with the door locked. Lastly, I spend a lot of my time doing musical theatre. In fact, I was in the school’s musical production “Chicago,” last year, and it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to perform in the play “Crybaby” this year
