As we grow up, technology continues to become a necessity in our lives; ultimately, furthering the dependence that we have with it. We have built our emotional and mental foundation around technology resulting in teenage girls and boys feeling “anxious from phone deprivation” (Quartz). Without technology, humans would feel abandoned as it has developed into an unhealthy relationship in our lives. We consistently use technology to replace the real world with the virtual environment; however, when we return to reality we become frightened at the fact that we don’t have technology with us. It has placed a burden on us that we cannot escape from. Technology is overcoming our independence and has become a part of humans. It maintains its effect on our society and has linked to humanity, we are constantly absorbing it; essentially, increasing the reliance we have on technology.
