Hi, I’m Helia and I’m a student here at riverside in grade 10. I’ve had a great experience in high school so far and I’m becoming closer to finding who I am more and more every day.              So here’s a little about me……

Your only limit is your mind, that’s the message I wanted to send out with this video, it inspired me to keep going and work for my goals and get the outcomes and results that I want. It talks about being mentally strong and motivates you to work harder in order to succeed as a student and in life. You can keep pushing, don’t stop until you’re satisfied. Things can get rough sometimes but you can always pick back up where you started and aspire to be the best you can be! 

Ever since I was little I remember being by the ocean. Then sun on my skin, the wind in my hair and the sound of the crashing waves creating peace. I grew up in the water. I was never scared of the ocean, instead I thought of it as a beautiful place. I guess that’s how I grew to love surfing. I’m still very new to it because even though I was by the ocean a lot, I didn’t get that many chances to surf. Despite not being that great at it yet, it truly makes me happy. Surfing with my friends is my favourite because we all get to share our admiration for the sport and ride waves together.
