What reasons does Beatty give for the current state of society and for books being destroyed.

The reasons Beatty gives for the current state of society and for books being destroyed is that he wants to create and equal peaceful society by making sure everybody follows structured routine rather than their original thought. Beatty, who is the captain, is attempting to convince Montage that the law is created for conformity and equality instead of limiting people’s freedom. Also, due to the fact that books tend to have biased opinions from authors, it may cause a lot of conflicts. Beatty’s image of his utopia is when government effectively manages society. For example, on the page 55, Beatty said: “Authors, full of the evil thoughts, look up your typewriters. They did, Magazines became a nice blend of vanilla tapioca. From this quote, it expresses that government gives the evil definition of the author and prevents people to read. This quote reflects what Beatty said to Montag which is” the bigger your market, the less you handle controversy,” In this sentence, “market” means the amount of book readers, and if the book reader are reduced, instead, magazine’s reader increase which will reduce controversy eventually. In conclusion, Beatty wants to converse that the prefect society is when everybody follows structured routine over rather than original thought.
