This week in Math, we finished our unit on Absolute Values and Radicals and we just barely started our 3rd unit on Solving Quadratic Equations.

 

Honestly, last year I couldn’t ever grip onto the concept of factoring and I never actually enjoyed doing it, because I was so bad at it and never asked any questions at all. But the way we were taught on Friday refreshed my memory and since I actually learned how to do it the proper way, I genuinely like factoring now.

 

So on Thursday, we started “Factoring Polynomial Expressions,” and something new that I learned is that when we are given an example like this “a² + b + (number)” it means that you have to find the factors of the last number and you have to pick the one where the two numbers add up to the middle term which I find really cool.
