Digital Footprint

How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least two examples. 

We interact with many people in digital space and the impact can affect our future. Digital has a lot of information, so you can get a lot of help. But you have to be careful because there may be fabricated information. However Digital does not only have a good influence on us. We expose our personal information like names, birthdays, hobbies, tastes, schools, and academies. We should refrain from using our personal information because we don’t know where and how it will be abused. Also, we spend a lot of time in digital space and use and hear a lot of slang, but I think it’s not good to spend too much time on digital because it makes people lose their vocabulary or knowledge. 

Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe. 

There are three ways to safely use digital space. First, we do not leak personal information and only use digital as needed. Second, digital codes such as numbers and patterns are set and used. Third, install a system that blocks things that can harm us, such as unsafe websites, hacking, etc. 

What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them? 

I learned about the impact digital can have on us and how to safely use digital while investigating digital footprints. If I explain digital footprint to someone else, I will explain many situations that can be experienced digitally.
