To start off our physics unit in science we had a race- using only a plate, a ruler, some materials, and static electricity. The goal was to see which materials would create the most static electricity. To test it, we placed a ruler on top of a glass plate, and then rubbed materials together and timed how long it took for the materials static electricity to pull the ruler a full circle.
