A and E are Equivalent: In E the subtraction symbol cancels out the negative symbol.
B and F are Equivalent: -5 -11 is the same as saying -5+(-11)
C and G are Equivalent: In C two negatives equal a positive so it really is just -5+11
Some of the statements have the same answer even though the numbers in the equation are arranged differently. That is because the positive/negative numbers have an impact on if it is positive or negative sum. Also the addition and subtraction symbols can determine if your answer is negative or positive.
One of the things that I learned is that you can have the same answer for two different looking equations.
Some things that students should remember is that when you subtract a negative integer that integer becomes positive. When you add a negative integer to a positive integer the sum is negative.
