3 reasons why I wish Jem finch was my brother

1) He is always up for and adventure

When it comes to Jem Finch you know he is always up to do something fun. Whether it’s going on a hunt for Boo Radley, or just staying inside and creating scripts and scenarios for Scout, Dill and himself to act out, you know it’s always going to be a good when Jems around. Jem is never bored, and I don’t know about you but I hate being bored, Jem always manages to find something fun or even sometimes dangerous to do. Like repair the treehouse with Dill, Put into a tire and roll her down the street, or playing “Boo Radley,” a game Jem had invented trying to act out the life of their neighbour Boo Radley.

2) He loves sports

Jem has mentioned numerous times that he loves sports but especially football. He was heartbroken he couldn’t play the season due to a broken elbow when he was thirteen. All he wants to do is toss around a football with Atticus but Atticus says he’s too old. I could be the guy Jem tosses the football too. I really like sports too so our combined interest could help us get along very well.

3) He is caring

Never once in the book did it say that Jem loved Scout, but if you look at the things he did for her, it’s clear he did. First, when the kids were walking by Ms. Dubose’s house and Ms. Dubose told Scout that she was dirty and ugly Jem stook up for her and defended her. What a good guy! Next, when Ms. Maudie’s house was on fire and Jem and Scout were standing infront of the Radley house, Jem put his arm around Scout and tried to comfort her during a scary situation.
