DOAS Monologues

The following is an example I created of a monologue for the character of Willy from “Death of a Salesman.”

This is a monologue because it is a extended, uninterrupted piece of speech directed toward another character

Willy: I am sorry Linda, sorry for everything I’ve done to you. I’m sorry I cheated on you with the girl in Boston. I’m sorry for the countless times I’ve lied to you. I am sorry for not being there for the kids in the last couple years when they needed my support. I’m sorry for not telling you that I was having suicidal thoughts. I am sorry for everything I have ever done to you. I promise that, starting now, I am going to change for the better, I am going to be there for you and the kids, I am going to bring home enough money live comfortably, and most importantly I am going be faithful to you. I am not looking for your forgiveness, I just seek your understanding.
