I think the main character, Matilda will regret that she went to the party or that she borrowed Mrs. Forester’s diamond necklace or both. ‘Cause her fault, the family, Matilda and Mr. Loisel, will be poorer than now because they have to pay back the cost of necklace. Even Matilda’s friend, Mrs. Forester, will cut the relationship between she and Matilda. Matilda won’t reflect on oneself about her life that she has lived. Finally, her husband, Mr. Loisel will let Matilda go. Then, Matilda will regret a lot, but anybody won’t come back to Matilda who knows only money.
