In the book “the cage” the ghettos are betrayed as a low income area were the keep Jews, there are no jobs barely any food to keep you healthy and a lot of diseases. The Jews had to go through a lot of struggles in the ghetto they didn’t have much food to keep them alive and healthy also family members who are sick would be taken away never to be seen again, and there was no way avoiding them taking a family member away because the Nazi soldiers would search the houses that the Jews are living in. the jobs the Jews had to go threw are horrible it would push their body to the limit and some Jews would even die while working. And It’s not just the horrible jobs and being separated the Jews had to constantly avoid being shot if there in the wrong area or if some soldiers were bored. It was truly tragic what happened to them.
