Math 10 Week 7 Updated

How to solve for sin, cos and tan on a right triangle:

SOHCAHTOA is helpful to memorise the equations for sin, cos and tan.

SOH is sin= opposite/hypotenuse

CAH is cos= adjasent/hypotenuse

TOA is tan= opposite/adjasent

the hypotenuse is found diagonal from the 90 degrees point, the adjacent side is found next to the angle point, and the opposite side is found across from the angle.

here are some examples of how to solve missing parts of a triangle:

Math 10 Week5

This week in math I have learned how to convert different measurements in the Imperial System: Example: 0.04mm to meters.

using this scale, every line up you divide by 10 and every line down you multiply by 10.

So on the scale you go up 3 steps, from mm to meters, dividing by 10 each step. so in total. so you would divide 0.04 by 1000, which would equal 0.00004, or 4 x 10 to the -5

Math 10 Week #1

This week in math I’ve learned how to use a division table. I really struggled using a tree diagram for big numbers to find the prime factors, so instead I tried using a division table. I did not really know how to use one, but with clarification and a lot more practice it makes much more sense.

Understanding:

How does the text answer the EQ?

Answer in full sentences. Record relevant quotes and page numbers/lines if needed.

In the book “The Dolls House” written by Katherine Mansfield, there is a lot of class discrimination between children at a school. The book starts when the rich kids get a doll house that is perfect in every way, and tell all the girls at school, but it reeks of nasty paint, which I think symbolises that the rich seem perfect on the outside, but are ill and corrupt on the inside. I think that this short story reconizes, that the class discrimination is driving the poor lower classed kids into the ground since there being treated like dirt. later on one of the the rich kids decide to sneaks the poor into the yard to see  the doll house, which I think symbolises rebelion.

                                                       Tasty Fresh Toppings

Have you ever dreamed of what a certain sandwich would taste like? The next time you want a fresh, delectable and customised sandwich, check out subway and have them make it the way you like it. I guarantee that it will be irresistible sandwich! I really enjoy, is being able to customise your sandwich. With a variety of fresh toppings, sauces, dressings, breads and cheese, the possibilities are endless, and so are the tastes. To have the luxury to walk in and tell the people behind the counter what you want on your foot long or six inch, is an experience like no other. The food is fresh and delicious, and there are so many vegetables and toppings you could put on your sandwich, let alone choose if you want your bread toasted, or if you want whole grain, or flatbread, it is really all about preferences. When you walk in, you can look all around, and find it spotless and clean. The seats are sturdy but comfy, and the air is cool and fresh. It is never too busy or to empty. The people there are welcoming and ready to customise your sandwich to your likings. The décor is minimal but pretty, but there are a lot of advertisements claiming that there food is “fresh”. Otherwise it is a nice welcoming environment that I personally enjoy. They have little fake plants all around that add to the ambience, but other than that, it is basic. The nice kind of basic. The price, really depends on what bread you get. If you toast it, get chips or cookies on the side, and what and how many topping is on it. Even if the price is high, it is one hundred percent worth it, since it’s so scrumptious. In conclusion, if I had to choose one restaurant that I had to go to, I would choose subway. With all those possibility’s it is hard to pass up, and it brings competition to other fast food restaurants.
