This week in math I’ve learned how to do function notation.

this is how I do it:

ex: f(x) = 5x – 7

solve for f(2)

you start by putting the 2 in brackets where x was,
f(2) = 5(2) – 7

and then you simplify
f(2) = 10 – 7

=3
