rift volcanoes – SC10 blk A

untitled

Types of Volcanic Eruptions

this is a picture of a rift volcano. Rift volcanoes are shallow volcanoes also known as Rift eruptions, and they burst in small scales. they form when magma rises between the diverging plates, and they occur around or actually on plate boundaries. They have forceful eruptions, but are nt as high as other types of volcanoes.

Data Analysis of Biodiversity Lab – Emmi BLK A

which site has the highest species richness?

site one has the highest richness in species

Which site is the most diverse according to the simpsons index?

site one is the most diverse, because it has the lowest D value

Do any sites have a low Simpsons index and high species richness?

Both sites have low data numbers for each category

How is conservation related to biodiversity?

Conservation of ecosystems can relate to biodiversity because if we conserve an ecosystem, then this allows animals to live there and reproduce, meaning that there will be more diverse species in the environment

Three Reasons Why I Love Mrs. Dubose

These days its very hard to find a woman who is grouchy or mean, and have nobody say anything to her. Mrs. Dubose demonstrates an offensive, yet somewhat honest opinion on the world around her, without anybody saying anything to her face to put her down or stop her statements.

She Isn’t Afraid To Speak Her Mind

Mrs. Dubose has a strong voice and opinion, and she ain’t afraid to tell you! She has a demeanor about her that i find very intriguing, yet at first you may find her HIGHLY offensive. Her opinions are meant to be heard by everyone and anyone around her, and that’s exactly what happens. Even though her words are aggressive and insulting to your feelings and morality, its her complete and utter honesty that makes people really think about their lives. (Except when she insulted Atticus and his being as a whole but that’s beside the point)

She isn’t Afraid Of Anybody’s Opinion

Now, you don’t see Mrs. Dubose staying in her house all day because she doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings do you? NO. You don’t. Why? Because she is a strong independent woman who doesn’t need anybody to tell her otherwise! She says what she means and means what she says, and that is inspiring. I wish that I had the confidence of a woman who looks nearly dead. The fact that she can say what she wants when she wants is amazing, because she could literally be on her porch at five in the morning waiting for a by passer, and she would tell them it’s too early to be disrupting her. Which yeah, I mean they would be disrupting her, because she is obviously deep in thought (Thinking of hard truths), and walking by would be SUCH an annoyance. I get it Mrs. D. #Yareudisturbingme

She’s Old

Yes, in case you didn’t know, Mrs. Dubose is as old as time itself. No, like she’s REALLY old. She can really say anything she wants because if somebody was to get her in a tizzy, she would probably just crumple up and have a heart attack. This woman has experience in offending people, and now, she knows how to do it without people attacking her. (Physically. Jem’s attack doesn’t count, he’s a child) Having all those years to perfect the insults anybody can take is admirable. She should make a book called: “To Find The Perfect Insult“.

math post – week 6

The variable in this equation is on the bottom of the cosine equation so that means we have to switch the two around and then put the variable on top of the cos number. Then divide as intended

image

This is also a cosine problem but this time all we have to do is put the x on the opposite side of the equation and then turn cos into an inverse cosine and do cosine 5/6

image

The variable is on the top for this one as well so all that has to happen is the inversion again as the problem anove

Motion Moments- Emmi blk A

In this first video it explains acceleration. We see that the bus in the video speeds up with a continuous sound, and it slows down with a harsher sound. As explained, the bus speeds up, because of the change of acceleration, and there can be positive, negative, and zero acceleration. The bus slowing down is called de acceleration. Acceleration can be calculated by change in velocity divided by time. This allows us to calculate the rate of acceleration.

In this second video we see two men racing. They both are going the same speed and they are staying at the same rate of velocity, so they are racing in constant velocity. Near the end of the video they both take a fall, but one of the men gets up and continues on racing while the other man is left laying on the ground but eventually gets up and walks back towards the start. Not only is this an example of constant velocity but it is also and expample of displacement. The man who continues on will have a greater displacement and a greater average velocity based on he kept moving and the man who turned around went backwards on a negative path back to his zero starting point.

week 7 math post

Triangle 1

in this triangle I have the A angle, and side AB, which is 42.2. We are trying to find the variable b on the AC side. After labeling I was trying to find the adjacent side. To do this I had to use COS. I had to go cos25 x 42.2 because the variable is on the top. the answer I got was 38.2.

Triangle 3

in this triangle it was cos again and my formula was 50.2 over cos30. I had to reciprocate the variable and create a division question. my answer was 57.96

Triangle 2

this triangle was cos once again, and in order to complete this I had to do cosX = 5 over 6. in order to isolate the variable I had to move X to make cos-1 (5/6). this gave 33.55
