This week I continued to work on my altered book, I’ve completed one spread. on the left page I have competed the collage of magazine cuttings, scrap fabric and threads. This spread touches on the large waste of water and micro toxins that are leaked into the ocean with the fabrication of fast fashion.

I started making artist trading cards using a stencil technique. I found the process difficult yet rewarding.

The biggest struggle I had this week was trying to cut out my stencil. The small details were unreasonably difficult to cut out without ruining the design. My biggest success this week was the result with my seagull stencils. I made three different stencils for the highlights and shadows.

My goal for next week will be to complete more of my altered book.
