Totem Pole
Before Canadian people come to Canada, first people live in their land, but Canadian people conquer the land and killed a lot of first people. It is one of the Canadian people have to get responses about the first nation. Even Canadian wanted to the land, first people lived in there. Canadian need to respect, understand and accept their culture. Canada joined with a lot of country culture and people. Canada should respect and accepts some of the other cultures. As this situation, Canadian attitudes become very careful and get fault from first people. In fact, Canadian also attacker to the first people, so they can’t ignore or violent to the first people. Actually, I can feel anger like first nation people. Canada history is not relating to me, but I understood when Japan attacked Korea and Korean people lost right and freedom from Japan. They couldn’t speak our own language and join our culture. Korean had to learn Japanese, wore Japan’s clothes and follow their tradition. If some speak our language or said about freedom, they could kill from Japan government. Almost 10 years, Japan conquered Korea, but they never an apology. Now, Korean had their own lands, but first people are not. They all lost their own land. They didn’t have any power, or weapon like Canadian, so they had to be lost the land. However, Canadian had to protect them and accept the first nation culture.

Fear
When I have around the dark, I felt like someone near with me. I don’t really believe the ghost, but I felt like that. Also, I can’t see anything in the dark, so it made feel anxiety. The dark made look around and can’t sleep when I lay down on the bed. I tried to sleep early, so I don’t have to care the dark.

How do stereotypes affect people?
The novel, “The Chrysalids” by John Wyndlham start after a nuclear war where lands are contaminated and too hazardous for people, animals and plants to live on. Most of lands are polluted except one land, Waknuk. The protagonist is David Strom who lives in Waknuk and has special telepathic abilities. David is not the only one who can use telepathy. Some children can share their thoughts using telepathy inside their head. Because of the radiation from the nuclear war, people are left disfigured. For example, some people have six toes and an extra arm. People are afraid of tribulation because it is a symbol of nuclear war, so they discriminate the people who are affected by tribulation. People want to eliminate all of symbols of the war. People who are affected by tribulation are banished to the contaminated land called Fringe. David and his friends know about this, so they try to escape to Waknuk. If other people know about their abilities, they would banish them. People who had tribulation felt anger or fear because they lost their human right and life as normal people. Humans can have prejudice, so we need acknowledge difference and break prejudice. This novel shows that stereotypes can menace people’s life.

Pay It Forward Reflection
Actually, this movie looks like very old, so some people don’t like for story and scence. In my case, I like this movie, however I can understand what director want to say it. AIthough it was old movie; however, I can know what they want to say for audiences. In fact, I don’t wanr to see the scence which is Trevor’s mother Arlene hit Trevor’s cheek. If director count out this scence, I like more this movie. In addtion, my favorite scence was when Trevor hugged for Arlene after they were reconciled. They faced each other and talked Arlene’s mistake. Then I like scence which is Trevor help homeless people. When I saw this scence, I thought about my experience. I help poor people or disability people. Actually, I needed volunteer grade, so I did it. However, when I finished voulnteer, I felt very happy and proud of myself. It can be changed the world, I thought. As you know, the world isn’t change just only one person but the person can give rhe forward for other person. It can be connect. Then we have to look at around and fine some people who need your help. This action make the world develope. I think this oppinion is a message about this movie.
