For week 13 of Precalc 11, we continued chapter 8 doing lessons 8.2, 8.3, and 8.5.
8.2 focused on absolute value equations. 8.3 was on graphing reciprocals of linear functions. 8.5 finally was on graphing reciprocals of quadratics.
One thing I learned was the graph forms of all of these functions, and their names such as v-shape (absolute value), and hyperbola (reciprocals of linear and quadratics).
It was interesting how in graphing quadratic reciprocals, the number of roots that the parent function parabola has, affects the shape of the hyperbola. 1 root, 2 roots, and 0 roots all had different graph shapes that were drastically different.
