Week 15 – Math 10

This week, I learned how to find the equation of a line. When finding the equation of a line, you have to remember that the answer to the slope and the y-intercept, is a part of the equation. The equation will be in the form; y = mx + b. m = slope, and b = y-intercept. If m = 4, and b = 8, then the equation would be y = 4x + 8. The y-intercept which is in the equation, is positive 8, and the slope is m which is 4/1. The slope on the graph would be 4/1 (rise = 4, run = 1) and the line intercepts at the y-axis which in this equation is (0,8).
