I learned that it’s possible to coat copper with silver if you use the right substances. By looking through a microscope, I could see that the silver had not completely covered the copper and had left gaps making it look like it had spots. Because of this, I don’t think it’s possible to turn copper completely to silver. In fact, I don’t even have proof that the substance that formed on the copper was silver. In conclusion, I think that this experiment was very interesting, especially watching the coat of “silver” form on the copper whenever it touched the silver nitrate.
