Persuasive Paragraph – Sam the Athlete – Daniel Robidoux
In Literary Studies and Composition 10, we read a short story called “Sam the Athlete” by Stuart McLean. Here is my persuasive paragraph on why Sam should continue to wear the skirt.
Next, we did a Core Competency reflection about our persuasive paragraph.

Astronomy Wonder Assignment
Are there other universes, are they the same or similar as ours?
There are many theories out there about potential other universes, but do they really make sense? If there really are other universes how would they compare? Would there be different laws of physics?
Are there other universes?
Short answer: Probably not. But there is always a possibility. So for another universe to “exist” it would have to be outside of our own universe, and we don’t even know if our universe is finite, it could be infinite space. If our universe was infinite i couldn’t find a way another one would exist. Also by definition we wouldn’t be able to see or touch this other universe because it would be outside of our own observable universe, which is constantly expanding.
Would a different universe have different laws of physics?
Theoretically if another universe existed, would it have different fundamental laws of physics? There is not really any way of finding an answer to this question. But there have been studies that tested if life can live in an environment without the 4 fundamental forces. Gravity, electromagnetism, weak and strong nuclear forces. Lets say that in this universe atoms don’t hold themselves together as easily as our universe. They found out that a “life-like” organism can infact live. Which increases the chance of life in this universe.
Conclusion
So in concusion, there is no way that we can prove that other universes exist right now and anytime soon. Thanks for reading.
