When looking for a job most very high paying job they will sometimes look your name up and check your social media. If bad things come up they could think you can set a bad example for their company if someone is looking up employees. Also maybe getting into a school like a university or college they might check things like that to make sure you don’t ruin their reputation.
There are some ways to keep your digital footprint good so you can get into schools and jobs. First you can keep your social media positive and not encouraging bad things that people would question. The second way you can do this is by being around other positive people. You don’t want to be associated with people that could have a bad impact on your future life when looking into future opportunities. And third be smart with what you post and say on your social media and internet. Because even if you think your anonymous you could never know 100%. You should always think before you post things.
I as a student have learned to be very careful in this subject because stuff can be traced back to you. And also i didn’t know that stuff like that can impact your life that hard. You could be a totally successful celebrity and have one person track something you said 5 years ago and have you whole entire career destroyed.
