Wave Interference Activity

Destructive Interference

In the video above, this demonstration is a example of destructive interference, the spring was pull on opposite sides (crest and trough), when the wave met with the other wave, it was “out of phase” so the waves cancelled each other out.

Constructive Interference

The video above is a demonstration of constructive interference, both sides of the spring was stretched on the same side so when the wave meets the energy became combined to displace the medium.

Noise cancelling headphones use wave interference to eliminate unwanted sound by using destructive interference. When the crest and the trough meet the waves cancel out because they are out of phase.

I am proud of my introduction and hook since my last essay i had a difficult struggle accomplishing them.

For grade 12 i need to improve my procrastination habits since that was a setback and if i hadn’t procrastinated there would have been a better chance that i would not miss the minor spelling errors that have dropped my mark.

Fear Photo

As a younger kid, i didn’t have a phone, one day after school i decided to go to my friends house downtown Poco, i spent about 3 hours there. My parents didn’t know where i was and worried since i was in the 4th grade. As i left and started walking home, a police officer shouted at me and asked who i was. So i continued to answer and he told me to get in the car, i was afraid of the thought of being put in jail or having my freedom taken away. I didn’t know what was going on, after i had a quick talk with him, i understood what was going on and i learned a lot about police officers. And that was the day i got my first phone.

Since this day, every time i see a police car i will always remember this day. I haven’t had any fear of police officers now, nor have i really. My fear was more or less of just the thought of being in prison with no freedom being locked up.

The Human Condition

How does one find strength when going through agony?

In the video The Moped Diaries directed by Tyler Nilson, Nick Vitale and Michael Schwartz. Levi the protagonist, has a happy life out on Colington Island. This island was known for its fishing industries. He starts off the video explaining how “love can build a bridge”, and he brings this up because there was a bridge that was built up of 10,000 concrete pilings. Since that much concrete was built into the waters, the fish migrate to more hospitable water, thus having fishermen’s families torn apart. His mother left the family and headed to the mainland in search of “greener pastures”. Having that happen, he learned one of the most important life lesson: “sometimes people leave, and sometimes unexpectedly. Take a deep breath, mourn the loss, and start living again”. His father was not leaving the island. Levi’s father got a job on the docks but then died in a crash with the bridge. Levi then met a girl (Rose), and she helped him through the death of his dad. His grandpa (Winki), illegally adopted Levi and his brother JR. JR turned to bad habits (drinking alcohol and smoking). The love of Rose helped Levi stay clean through all the times. Jr left to “buy cigarettes” but he went to rob a firework stand (last time Levi saw him). A New guy comes onto the island for work and crosses with Rose. Rose falls for him and they then get married. Levi becomes heart broken, and lets depression get to him. Winki then knocks out Levi and brings him to his father’s grave with a notebook saying, “Your life is your story, make it a good one”. Levi then pursued to find something to do, he left to the mainland to find a career and build his life…

Humans can be heartbroken.

Humans can be loving.

This video shows that in times of agony, take a deep breath, mourn the loss, and continue to build up your life.
