We have reached the turn of the century in our studies – can you believe we’ve learned about 300 years of Canadian history!!!!

In the late 1800s Canada saw another wave of immigration to settle the West which changed the nation politically, socially, and economically.  As we learn about the immigrants and their stories, make connections to the Great Migration which we studied about in Unit 4 – what similarities and differences can you find?

  1.  Create a new folder within Socials 9 called “UNIT 9 Canada at the Turn of the Century” and download the following

To complete this activity you will need Horizons 2nd edition e-text Chapter 7.

HOMEWORK:  Complete the assigned sections of the activity (Parts 1, 2, 3); gather info on your family’s immigration history
