We’ve studied how reformers wanted to change the colonial government in Upper Canada and Lower Canada.  They tried using violence to achieve this change in 1837 ad 1838 but the rebellions were unsuccessful.

So what next?  Will Britain realize the discontent and make the colonial government more democratic?  Will Britain punish the colonies for rebelling?  Complete this activity to learn more about the aftermath.
