Veterinarian;

Job Description: Veterinarians help animals with their health in a variety of ways (i.e.) treating certain conditions of different animal, doing check ups of the animal’s health researching about animals (etc.). In short, they are biologists that help pets and animals

A Day in The Life of Set Job:

(Most surgery’s or special care cases will be dealt with as early in the day as possible with the check ups being dealt with afternoon and later)

  • Treat the animals that were brought in from emergency overnight
  • Update pet owners with progress on how the emergency care is going and, if there are no emergency surgery’s, then examine animals that will need special care (surgery)
  • Draw blood from animals that will get a surgery to compare before and after the surgery
  • Follow through with appointments (birth, check ups and lumps)
  • Have a break near noon to get ready for check ups
  • Deal with appointments (examine animals for sicknesses or injuries)
  • Wait for animal emergencies, think about cases, or go home

Education and Experience Needed for Set Job:

  • High school science courses
  • Voluntary experience in a clinic (with several animal species)
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DMV)
  • 2 years of Pre-Veterinary study
  • 4 years of Veterinary Medicine
  • (6 years of Studying)

Why This Career Connects to my Personality:

I love animals as well as Biology. These things combined are a vet. I would be interested to solve different problems and have the payoff of saving or bettering an animal’s life.

Architect;

Job Description: An architect is a physicist that plans and or creates a structure.

A Day in The Life of Set Job:

  • Meet with clients
  • Win Contracts
  • Solve architectural problems
  • Estimate costs and deal with set budget
  • Meet with consultants
  • Plan and draw out plans
  • Present your work
  • Communicate with bidders
  • Visit construction sites

Education and Experience Needed for Set Job:

The only thing you need to become an architect is a university Degree in Architecture accredited by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, as well as some field work or experience with structures.

Why This Career Connects to my Personality:

Building and designing have always been a side hobby. I think its fun and interesting and the closest job to that is an architect. I like running the numbers through and I like the office job setting.
