Over the next two classes you will work in groups of five to explore the effects of World War One on Canadians at home.

Step One:
Your group will be responsible for visiting six different stations and completing an individual blog post called World War One – The Home Front reflecting on what you have learnt. While you will each responsible for your own blogs, you are strongly encouraged to work together to complete all the tasks. There will also be Twitter Questions at each of the stations. You will need to respond to at least two of these questions using our class hashtag #RsideSS11. You may also wish to reply to your classmates tweets.

Station One: Feeding the Troops
Station Two: Propaganda
Station Three: Paying for the War
Station Four: The Halifax Disaster
Station Two: Women and the War
Station Six: Conscription and the 1917 Election

Step Two:
Tweet a final Twitter Question:
What are you still curious about in terms of the home front after completing all six stations?
#RsideSS11

Step Three:
Complete and publish your blog post. Make sure you have completed all the twitter requirements.

Step Three:
Check out your classmates blog posts. Comment on at least two. Return to your own blog and make any updates or changes you would like based on the contributions of your peers. Be sure to credit your inspiration.

Step Four:
Finally add a comment on your own blog post reflecting on your own learning. How well do you feel you engaged and learnt in this lesson? What did you learn? What did you struggle with? How could you improve you learning or your output for next time?
