Float your Boat

The problem is to float as many pennies on a tinfoil raft as possible.

My hypothesis is that if a boat has more surface area then it will be able to hold more pennies because it will spread out the surface area on the water.

Our boat held 121 pennies.

That the more surface area would spread it out over the water instead of putting it all in one place.

I think I would have made the walls a little higher and not give up when the boat takes on a little water.

Perfect Person

The perfect person does not exist because it is an oxymoron. The very nature of being a person is being human and being human means you make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. I think the closest you can get to perfect is somebody that acknowledge their mistakes and tries to make up for them because they are inevitable.

English Paragraph

I agree most of the time with Kelly when he says that technology should be repurposed.

If you find a technology that is used for evil, it for sure can be used for other things. If you find a new job for something all of the research that was put into that technology will not be wasted, instead all the research will have been used to push the new technology forward. On the flip side, it can also do a lot of harm. If the technology instead of being used in such a bad way was inherently bad or designed to be bad it could not be such a great idea to repurpose it and keep it in use. If I use the example of nuclear fission, it was not a good idea in bombs and caused a lot of harm but if they repurpose it into nuclear energy. Is it still safe? It has good intentions and the people that make and run it have good intentions, but that doesn’t mean it will never do harm anymore. It can still cause harm and be a bad idea and if you ask the same question, “is it still such a good idea to keep it”?
