Good discussion but I still need to see more historical facts being used. For example, with #1, talk about how the Stamp Act Congress represented what the people of the 13 Colonies wanted, or how people gathered to support the Sons of Liberty during the Tea Party. What proportion of Americans never wanted to split from America? Who was actually leading most of the Revolution? Did those people represent the average 13 Colonist?
For the #5, you could also discuss how fighting was an answer to the control Britain had on the 13 Colonies, do they still do the same today to solve conflicts? If Upper Canada’s earliest settlers were Loyalists, what might that say about our connection today?
For next time, I’d like to see you guys better prepared before you create the video.
