Observing Cells

1a. Animal cells look like bubbles or jellyfish. The visible cell structures of an animal cells are cells and the nucleus.

1b. Plant cells look like a snake’s skin. The visible cell structures of a plant cells are cells and nucleus.

2. Plant cells are very close to each other and the animal cells are apart from each other.

3. Plant cells have colour, so they are visible without the methylene blue. However, the animals cells are not visible without the methylene blue.

4. I learned that animal cells need the methylene blue to be visible and plant cells doesn’t. The plant cells are closer to each other than animal cells. Questions I thought of during the lab are why does the shapes of the cells look like the picture, and why are the plant cells close to each other, but animals cell are not.
