The commercial was made by the Extra Company in hopes to sell their spearmint gum. The target audience for this commercial specifically is most likely parents, showing that small things they do for their children, add up, and that the child will never forget that. Some of the advertising techniques used are “Plain Folks,” and “Repetition,” in a way. This could be targeted for more than just parents however, as not just parents would use gum. Teenagers, everyday adults, and even kids could use gum.
